And the doctor says

The doctor says our little butterbean is nine weeks old now. Our due date is March 11, spring break. We don't want to wait. We'd rather the baby just be here!

And this is J.R. practicing with baby Ty. He is going to be a very good daddy!

Leap of Faith

In January, I decided to trust God. I quit taking my birth control and decided that God could decide when we needed to have a baby. We have not been trying to get pregnant but not actively protecting against it either. God decided that our family of two needs a little addition. Our first child should be here mid-March. How exciting and scary!

Dog Paddled

dog paddle n.
A prone swimming stroke in which the head is kept out of the water and the arms remain submerged and are alternately thrust forward and pulled back while the legs kick.dogpaddle dog'-pad'dle (dôg'păd'l, dŏg'-) v.
We took Gravy to the lake. At 9weeks, she is a poor swimmer but she did it. She also sat and slept on the floor of the boat while it was in motion. Looks like she's on her way to being a good dog. Now if she could teach Delta...

Alpha: A beginning

A quiet Sunday afternoon, perfect time for a nap but I am not sleepy so I'm amusing myself with our laptop.

I used to journal quiet a bit, alot a bit, before the light of lamp was keeping anyone else awake and before I gained three bodies of fur that think an open journal with me attempting to write in it is the perfect space to curl up for a rest. Typing is easier because I can erase with less effort and cut and paste thus feeling more accomplished in my writings.

So we'll see what I can do with this little spot....

THE BASICS
"Our house is a very, very fine house with two dogs in the yard Life used to be so hard Now everything is easy 'Cause of you"

"Why do you keep calling me a dog? Oh I'm a dog. I'm a dog right? Okay well um ruff ruff"

"With cats, some say one rule is trueDon't speak 'till you are spoken toMyself I do not hold with thatI say, you should ad-dress a catBut always keep in mind that he resents familiarityYou bow, and taking off your hat, ad-dress him in this form "O cat"!"
