A new cousin, another cousin, and a friend

Thursday morning, Rebekah and I left our house before 7 headed to Georgia to see Will(and his parents) and also my cousin and her family.
Beks was very excited to see Will. She enthusiastically signed "baby" over and over and then she would try to pick him up, or squeeze him, or just eat him up because he is SO CUTE.Cousins.
This is the face we saw when we were trying to help Will avoid being picked up/squeezed/eaten.His shirt says "I love Mommy. Mommy loves me. And my aunt KeithAnn is amazing." Rebekah was a tad bit jealous of me holding Will.
I don't know how you people out there with two babies do it.
Macy aka Little Cat also got lots of attention from Rebekah.
We spent the night with my cousin in Atlanta.
We spent most of Friday back at Marie's house.
Marie and I took Will to meet some folks. He did so good in his car seat.

We spent Friday night with my cousin again.
Rebekah had free reign in the playroom, and all she wanted to play with was this little dog. And she wanted to play with him in this little chair.

We hung out with my cousin all day Saturday. We spent the morning at the pool.Rebekah was so tired, she fell asleep on the walk home.

Saturday night, we had a very nice dinner outside at a local Italian place. Rebekah and her "cousin" Caroline walking around.

When we got home, we hung out on the porch.Rebekah enjoyed playing with all of Caroline's balls. Caroline was a good sport about it. My cousin, Michele. Her daughter, Caroline. And if you don't recognize the other two folks in the picture, I'm not sure why you're reading this blog to start with :P

We left Atlanta at 7 Sunday morning and headed to Birmingham. We met my good friend Natalie for breakfast at Panera Bread.

Rebekah and Natalie aka Gnat Ribbit.

When we got home, RG was so excited to see her Daddy and vice versa. He had a "welcome home" cake waiting for her on her high chair. It didn't take her long to dig in.
And this is how glad she was to be at home and eating her cake.

Great weekend. You should be jealous.

May 23 is usually bittersweet for me...bitter because it is the anniversary of losing a sister and sweet because I know she had a glorious homecoming in heaven. This time of year has served as a reminder that God can take lives, but this year He reminded me that he also gives life. God saw fit to turn a day that is usually consumed with mourning to a day of joy and celebration. HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13
You see, we spent May 23 with family as usual,
but this May 23 we were in Atlanta
And now more pictures of my most precious nephew...

Mama and her boy.

I'm so excited that Will is here and that Marie and I have a new something in common.

A very proud Uncle and AuntGiving us the pirate eye. Our "CARTER" boys, 3 generations I love this full tummy sleepy face. I love this boy.J.R. loves him too. Precious Perfect Profile Mama holding Will.

Will holding Mama.

Oh, the sweetness! How cute is this boy! Only 24 hours old and looks like he is 3 months.

He is going to be lady-killer. TOO CUTE! His lungs work well. The best Oma in the world with the best Will in the world. And the best KaaKaa in the world, too.
Sweet boy,

I love you to bits. I look so forward to watching you grow up. You have a good Mama and Daddy, who will teach and show you the way to go in this life. We have all prayed for you since we first knew God was knitting you together in your precious Mama's womb. We will continue to pray for you, that you will know our God and choose Him as your own, that He will direct your path, and that your life would glorify Him.

And I will be there to hold you again in just a few more days, so don't you fret.

Love, KA

Rebekah is holding down the home fort with her Aunt Ernie since the hospital doesn't allow babies to visit babies.

***We met Will. I will post pictures and such as soon as his lovely Mama gives me permission.

Once upon a Saturday, I received a phone call from J.R. He said "come outside now and bring your camera". I obliged. He was washing the car. I walked around the car and found the following....

"God made dirt and dirt don't hurt"
